So I got an interview with James Gunn, world-famous screenwriter of the Dawn of the Dead remake and Slither, and now I'm stuck trying to think up questions to ask him.
If you guys have anything you want to know, fire away. I don't want to ask the same lame shit everyone else does, so I figure I'll pass some requests along to him.

"According to witness accounts, Joseph Delcasse collapsed and died on January 1st," a police spokesman told reporters in Port-au-Prince. "His body was taken to La Conscience funeral home, where the family paid in advance for a grave to be dug, and for an elaborate funeral service to be held at the local chapel next day. But when they arrived at the chapel, as the funeral was about to begin, they noticed that blood was dripping from the coffin, and demanded that the funeral should be stopped. They called in the police, who opened up the casket and found that Mr Delcasse's body was covered in multiple stab wounds.
"The owner of the funeral home and the gravedigger were both arrested and taken to Petion-Ville prison, where they both confessed to murder. It seems that Mr Delcasse had not been dead at all, as the family had thought, he was in a coma. As his body was being laid out in the funeral home, he had suddenly woken up, and the two men had both grabbed knives and killed him, then proceeded with laying out the body as if nothing had happened. At first, the gravedigger insisted that this was because they thought he was a zombie who had come back from the dead, but eventually the owner of the home admitted to a more prosaic motive. The funeral had been paid for in advance, the grave had already been dug, and he simply could not bear the thought of losing all that money."

Is that a plot hole I see or am I missing something?
I saw SW3 today--good flick, best of the second trilogy, although I'm still partial to the original trilogy. Some of the dialogue was a bit wooden (as was some of Hayden Christensen's acting)
, but overall, it brought things full circle fairly decently.
I've got a question for anyone who's more of a Star Wars geek than I am, though. (Note: If you haven't seen the movie, then maybe you'd better stop reading here.)
Last I knew, Anakin and his mom were all alone in the world, no family of record...yet at the end, Yoda and Obi-Wan send baby Luke to live with "his family". Yes, I know that in the original (aka #4), it was established that Luke lived with his aunt and uncle, but how the hell COULD he have an aunt and uncle if Anakin and his mother had no relatives? Even if one assumes the possibility that Yoda and Obi-Wan had found some long-lost relatives at some point, there was never any reason for them to hide that fact from Anakin, so he would have had to know of their existence--and if he DID know of their existence, there would always be the chance that he would make contact with them and find his son, so why leave the baby with them?
Either there's something I've missed or this is one big huge fucking plot hole. Anyone want to enlighten me? Current Mood: confused

The day I get my wisdom teeth pulled Land of the Dead comes out. Will I let that stop me? Fuck no. I'll be there with drugs on, even if they have to drag me in, bleeding from the mouth and moaning like Bub.
The countdown begins... now.
Friday, June 10 - 14 days until the premiere of Land of the Dead.

I have to apologize. I fucked up in my readvertising of the contest below. I should've mentioned that people who signed up before the deadline were supposed to go over and leave their info and get their DVDs. I linked it to a lot of Gaiman communities, and I don't know who came from where, so in my dumbassedness, I wasn't completely clear about what I meant.
Sorry if I mislead anyone. My bad.

I suffered through House of Wax
, wrote half a review, then made JK finish it even though he's never seen the movie. Sadly, he knew as much or more about the film than I did, and I'm the dumbass who saw it.
